This year, students became teachers. Each day they began by preparing a lesson plan/script and ended each session by Blogging about the days journey. They choose where we visited, who we spoke with, and how we presented Bermuda to the world. Each participant created a short video featuring a different aspect of our World Heritage Site ‘The Historic Town of St. George and its Related Fortifications.

To the Unfinished Church! That was the first stop we went to. It was Jermayne’s turn to film and I got t narrate. We interviewed a few tourists and I was interviewed as well. It was a good subject to film, I think. It was old and artistically beautiful for a church. It was good. Afterward it was off to the duckings. Jacy filmed it the whole time. I love going to the duckings cause they improv a bit every time so it’s always different. It never gets old. Today was fun and I can’t wait for tomorrow (that’s when its my turn to film!)-Kristi (14)
I chose the Unfinished Church because it inspired me. It inspired me because it is not finished.-Jacy (9)
I did the Town Crier ducking the town gossip. I chose it because I like to watch the people getting ducked. I think its fun.-Jermayne (9)

Today my day was…interesting. I did my video on nature, in Somers Garden. I mostly did trees and flowers but I also focused on some elderly people just sitting on a bench, just enjoying the peace. I explained this when Mrs. Burchall interviewed me at the end of the video. I had a fantastic day, but now I have to go, and I hope tomorrow will be just as great!-Kayla (12)
Today was my turn filming. It may have been my turn but that doesn’t mean I went first. My friend Kayla decided to film Somers Garden so off we went. I got in some decent sketches of some plants and Kayla got some good footage. All in all, it was a good start to our day. Next was my turn to hold the Flip Video. My inspiration was the tourist attractions in Kings Square. I filmed the musical entertainment, gift shop displays, and much more. The Square is a busy and colourful part of Bermuda. Most of the business comes from the cruise ship tourists. Because of this, while I was filming one of the musicians thought I was a tourist with a video camera! He announced it before they started performing. Anyway, the whole point of my film was to 1) explain what Town Hall was used for cause I had no clue until yesterday and 2) show how popular it is in Kings Square.-Kristi (14)

Marcus and I did our film on Fort St. Catherine. I chose it because I wanted people, tourists, to see a major Fort that came from something small and grew to something big. I also think its great for people to see.-Cameron (10)
Today me and Cameron did our film. To conserve time we decided to work together on the film. Our topic was Fort St. Catherine. The reason we picked that location is because it was the most interesting thing for us to film. I really enjoyed it, it was exciting!-Marcus (10)
