Presented by Meredith Ebbin, editor of Bermuda Biographies.

S.S. Toddings Sr.

S.S. Toddings Sr. was the most prominent newsman of his generation.  Born in St. David’s and a lifelong resident of St. George’s he served in the House of Assembly and on the Corporation of St. George’s.  Toddings was known for his fearlessness and progressive views.  But one aspect of his life remained under wraps during his lifetime – his black ancestry.  Recent research has revealed that his mother and grandmother were former slaves.

Reservations are required and  can be made via email at [email protected] or call 297-5791.

Cost is $20 for SGF Members and $25 for non-Members.

Doors open at 6:00 pm, presentation is at 7:00 pm.
